San Jac, Texas State create new degree pathway
San Jacinto College and Texas State University signed a co-enrollment agreement to help more students earn a bachelor’s degree close to home.
Beginning in fall 2026, the program will initially focus on business degrees and allow students to enroll simultaneously at both institutions while completing coursework at San Jac.

Co-enrollment agreement signing
The agreement aims to streamline transfer pathways, reduce excess credit hours, shorten time to degree completion, and lower overall educational costs.
Students accepted into the program will work toward both an associate degree from San Jac and a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. The partnership also supports reverse transfer opportunities and expands academic advising and resources to help students successfully complete their degrees.
