People of almost any age and any walk of life can enrich their lives through Life Long Learning courses offered by the Continuing and Professional Development (CPD) division at San Jacinto College. You don’t have to be a student to take a Life Long Learning course, you just need to be ready to have fun!

In addition to personal enrichment, Life Long Learning classes can also enrich relationships. “It’s a great opportunity for social bonding,” commented Ann VandeWeerd, Life Long Learning manager. “For example, a mother and daughter, or grandmother and granddaughter can enjoy a cake decorating, or a cupcake decorating class together. Or, a father and son can enjoy a racquetball or golf class together.”

Motorcycle Riders Course

For licensed drivers only. Motorcycles and helmets are furnished. Course includes up to 19 hours depending on skill level and number of students.

Learn to produce and edit video and sound for multimedia or web productions.

Retirement Planning

Learn to create an integrated successful retirement plan.

Container Gardening

Learn to grow annuals, perennials, shrubs, evergreens and non-evergreens.

Stagecraft

Introduction to theatre lighting, set design, and construction.

Theatre Practicum

Includes stage acting, and technical work.
